on the subject of mike huckabee releasing a convicted rapist from jail [who later later raped and murdered his next victim..] here are the links to the last post didn't come up the first time i posted: and yes, i have a problem with his record about this kind of thing, as a woman and as a citizen and human being in general.

    agents of intolerance defeated!!

maybe the GOP is moving to normality. won't it be great if the American right moved closer to the European right wing (Merkel & Sarkozy) then reasonable people would have a reasonable choice again.

Romney tried to buy the oval office. turns out he paid $10 per vote. if he had offered southern republican voters $5 to vote for him, he would have the nomination by now.

    Romney's withdrawal helps Huckabee!

It seems that most of the media reported Romney's withdrawal as helping McCain's sense of inevitability. I actually think that the "conservative" candidates have been dividing a vote that would have been defeating McCain otherwise, and that maybe this opens the possibility for conservatives to finally rally behind just one candidate to defeat McCain.

    Guess I'll post it again

I hope Dan is wrong...it would be horrible to have Huckabee in office. Keep religious fanatics out of the White House!

Your guest just spoke of Romney's authenticity. I keep hearing this word in relation to the candidates, but it does not feel like the meaning is the same as usual. Just what does authentic mean?

re: your current speaker on the phone, a former speechwriter for W.

Seriously, how-does-one write speeches for Bush?

    fo-net-ti-ka-lee?..

also, i'd taken to calling Mitt Romney "Mit Vader" after I found out he was using someone in South Carolina who was trained by none other than Lee Attwater, to do a whisper campaign, etc..

plus Romney was just talking to some conservative club about the 'welfare state and personal responsibility.."; so what's it called when uber-rich people get corportate based handouts and the board of directors looks the other way? oh yeah, and those lax laws that helped spur the sub-prime crisis? list, please.
