If Bill Clinton were assasinated in his first term Hillary would be a shoo in. We're not sure JFK would have been re-elected to a second term, and he didn't have to deal with the 24 hr. news cycle. His in White House sexual antics were not known.
one of your recent shows revealed how most voters do not use logic in their voting decisions. that is clear in most of the campaign issues that the media (mostly serving corporate agenda) and the voters choose to dwell on. if we mostly agree that it costs too much to run for higher office and that the prescence of big $$$ lobbyists dilutes real democracy, how can any problem, large or small, be effectively solved? any solution whose basic equation is unduly influenced never has a chance to be effective, can be only a partial answer, if that. for example, we'll never truly commit all technological resources to the proper energy solutions if the oil lobby distorts info & cajols concessions from electees. we can't even find out who attended an energy meeting in 2001, which is supposed to be a matter of record. what lobbyists do behind closed doors is not. it should be the primary(sic) issue. thanx.
