That he took a stand on Darfur, a most brave and noble act... Talk about character...That's character; that's spending political capital wisely.
Despite mistakes overseas (N. Korea not going very well!) and at home (Wen Ho Lee!) he would get my vote.

Assuming that what Richardson and Biden really want is State, it is perfectly reasonable for them to instruct their supporters to caucus for Obama in places where they are not viable -- even though the assumption long has been that Clinton would be the more natural fit for them.
Word on the street is that, if Clinton wins the general election, Richard Holbrooke has a lock on State.
Holbrooke has been one of Clinton's chief behind-the-scenes arm twisters, all year long -- leaning VERY hard on those in the Democratic establishment, to lock in their early support for Clinton.
Richardson and Biden may know that State simply is not available under Clinton.
I overheard a really random but appalling comment on the subway the other day: someone said he was all for John Edwards, but wouldn't vote for him because (quote) in all likelihood he would be widowed while in office and not much use to the country.
My jaw was on the floor. I mean, my God!
