    World AIDS Day

Established in 1988 by UNAIDS, World Aids Day promotes education and communication in an effort to end the AIDS epidemic. In honor of World Aids Day, The Brian Lehrer Show hosts an hour-long discussion about how AIDS affects us locally, the difficulty in creating a vaccine for this disease, and more. Also, how to navigate a romance in the workplace; and how the Giuliani expense story is playing in early primary states.

Rapid Fire Politics

Ben Smith, a writer for Politico.com, and Bob Hardt, the executive producer and political director of New York 1, return to the Politico story about accounting for then-Mayor Giuliani's expenses.

Then we check in with Josh Rogers, the statehouse correspondent for New Hampshire Public Radio, Leroy Chapman, the government and politics editor at The State, the largest newspaper in South Carolina and Jeneane Beck, a political reporter for Iowa Public Radio, to see how the story is playing in their states.

Spitzer: Fare Game?

Bob Hardt, the executive producer and political director of New York 1, and Gene Russianoff, staff attorney at the NYPIRG Straphangers campaign, look further at Gov. Spitzer's proposal on the MTA fare.
