I saw George at SUNY Purchase last Saturday. This is the 5th time I've seen him in the last three years. He's still in top form. I wonder, has he heard about the book The World Without Us? What does he think about the current wildfires in California, since it echoes his Uncle Dave bit from his last special? Also, how is hsi health? Brian, can you ask this?
LOVE YOU GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm guessing richard pryor is number one.
They probably named Richard Pryor and he deserves it. But Chris Rock makes me laugh until my sides hurt.
Bill Hicks was the first coming of Comedy Christ.
The best standup comedian ever is Bill Cosby.
my favorite is Bill Hicks!
There are too many firsts including Carlin. How can one choose. But I can tell you who sucks!?
Also that Comedy Central list is kind of silly. Gallagher made the list, but Billy Connolly didn't!
What televisions shows, if any, does Mr. Carlin find funny today?
I'd have to say one of my very favorites is Wandy Sykes. I even watch her comedy central shows when they repeat the same show consecutively back to back.
Geez, now that I have kids, all I can identify George Carlin with is the narrator of Thomas the Tank Engine LOL. How did he ever get involved with this kids show?
Also, he has performed in my town a few times, and had to cancel a recent performance due to medical reasons. Any updates on health/substance abuse problems? He sounds great on the air today.
I'd love to tell George I was just singing "One Last Pimple" to my kids the other day and we often invoke the names "Rauol and Congolia Breckenridge" and "Tondalayo Schwarzkopff".
His material from AM/FM is timeless and brilliant.
Wonderful Wino in Western Walla-Walla!
Brian, could you tell George that his new material on the bumper stickerss is not as insightful, and consciousness-raising as the material he opens with about deleting people who die.
brian George is your best guest yet, speaking of no. one's
Carlin is the G word: great.
One of my fondest memories of law school was reading the Seven Dirty Words Supreme Court decision. An appendix to the decision was the actual routine. He I was sitting in a somewhat stuffy law library laughing while everyone around me looked at me as if I was crazy!
I agree and it took me 41 years to figure it out but I will no longer vote again for any office. If the last 2 "elections" showed me anything it's that we do not have choice as we have been led to believe we have.
Yo go George! Sign me up 4 leaving the human race (I don't own an i-pod- GASP!)
Hmmm self-righteous, patronizing, dismissive-absolutist...George sounds like a priest to me.
Thank you Father
