is Mr. Kelly aware that police statistic are misreported to make it appear as though crime goes down and does he support this practice?

Kelly generally has a great record. Unfortunately blotted by the handling of demonstrators at the Republican Convention and the Critical Mass bike group. Why doesn't he clean the record by admitting mistakes in these areas ?

Ray Kelly's favorite shows are The Daily Show and Colbert Report?

I was hoping to hear Mr. Kelly address one of the biggest failings of 9/11--the communication failures of police and fire depts. We won't truly be safe against attack until egos are put aside and technology is harnessed to solve the radio issues. Next time maybe. Thanks.

What about that awful concrete plaza across the street from the Javitz Center. Ugh, how depressing! It's as if the designers said, "let's develop a place with no trees or grass whatsoever for easy maintenance!"

I disagree that the "new public squares" are centered around libraries. I've observed that the new public squares are "lifestyle malls". Typically something outside NYC, they have invaded our five boroughs! Atlas Park in Queens is a classic example.

I hope somebody will tell Colbert and Stewart that Kelly tivos and watches them? I'd guess that under that quiet and "strong" demeanor, Kelly's a guy who sees the warts on politicians and gets a kick out of the Comedy Central guys who see the warts too.

What Jeremy Posner says about the Republican Convention: me too.

Issuing licenses to illegals is utterly idiotic, and more so for the inane reasons Kelly and Suozzi stated. There is no guarantee that people will come out "of the dark", they might be more inclined that it is a path to deportation, also since they are here illegally who is to say that any of their paper if they have any at all are legitimate, stopping after a hit-and-run, since when has having a license ever been a deterrent from that! And the biggest fkn fairytale about insurance prices going down, holy shite you must be kidding, hey there's the easter bunny, the chanukah man, oh I mean "person" coming with the tooth fairy.

HJS, care to elaborate or post some references, I'm interested in this ststement, some back up please!
