Fred Flintstone laid out a plan? I didn't hear a plan; I heard a concept. Maybe his economic adviser should run for president: sounds like he's got the plans that Fred didn't think of while he was waiting eight months to start his grassroots campaign and let all the conservatives down.
The only bump Fred will get from this debate is the one the press gives him by pointing out every hour for the next 72 hours that it was his first debate. Thompson didn't come out as either different from G.W.Bush nor from the other candidates: he didn't make the case for why voters, who are by large upset with Bush, should vote for him.
Giuliani and Romney are clearly competing against eachother and Clinton. They aren't competing with Thompson, nor should they honor him with that bump.
With the line item veto whats to stop a republican president who has a majority in the house and in the senate to veto items for democrats only?
Public Space- The Battery Park itself is so unique in it's history and views yet the public walkways are 'off.'
On islamic finance note the UK Gov't are issuing Irlamic Bonds. Inagine our Treasury doing the same??
