    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    What happened to the old McCain and what did this pod-person do to him?

    Ok, there's something to be said for charisma. If McCain thinks, with that monotonous DRONE of his, that he can effectivly convey his message, he's got another think coming. Holy Cow, he sounds like HAL from 2001. Is he on Prozac or something?

    Why do politicians, including McCain, have such a compulsion to exaggerate and distort the truth?

    15 years ago unemployment in Northern Ireland was 9.2% - not 90%!

    Please don't use Northern Ireland's progress as an analogy for the future of Iraq - I've heard him do this before and it's preposterous.

    No respect for JM any more...he was a maverick...now he is a pinto

    It might be a good idea to ask the same question 3 times: this way he can't contradict himself more than twice

    I-will-speak-as-monotone-as-humanly-possible-and-exaggerate-gains-in-Iraq-to-promote-my-preposterous-viewpoint-because-i-have-dug-myself-in-a-hole-that-i-can't-get-out-of...

    He DOES sound like Hal

    I think this is a great interview. I'm glad to get to know him in a way I would never find on any other show.

    This guy is SUCH a hypocrite...."it was all Rumsfeld's fault, george W. Bush had nothing to do with it"

    Good grief!

    does anyone believe anything any of these candidates spew? same 'ol sh*t, different day.

    Why so much attention for McCain? Who cares? He has nothing new to say. But his lamest, most disingenuous comments had to do with his (non) reasons for skipping the PBS/Black media debate tonight. This is truly shameful. There are no excuses.

    Great interview. It's good to see candidates get fair coverage here.

    It's interesting how people criticize Sen. McCain for his honesty on the war and his voting history.

    Everyone hated and discounted Churchill in the '30s as well. History is glad he had the courage to stand fast and I'm glad McCain has it now.

    What happens if we apply some contextual analysis to the great decisions? For instance, The Reagan-Gorbachev one mentioned on air:

    Is it possible that had Reagan accepted the offer...

    -the Soviet union would not have dismantled so completely & so quickly;

    -there might have been a strong Soviet presence on the Afghan borders surpressing the Taliban;

    -less chance of immense AlQaeda training camps;

    -no, or less organized, 9/11?
