(Circle Back Studio/flickr)Are Schools Failing to Recycle?
Everyone recycles, right? Well, there's talk of some New York City public schools that are not separating their trash at all. We look at whether a city department is skirting its civic duty. Also, Elizabeth Edwards is being dubbed the vice presidential candidate for her presidential hopeful husband. We’ll ask her about her charged rhetoric against her husband's fellow candidates, and her take on the latest developments in the Iraq war. Also, what teens miss when they take on summer jobs, more scandal for Eliot Spitzer (but this time it's a verbal attack on his father), an update on the Deutsche Bank fire, and Councilman Bill DeBlasio, who wants to ban styrofoam lunch trays in public schools.
A Different Kind of Spitzer Scandal
A republican consultant is the likely culprit behind a threatening message on Governor Spitzer's father's answering machine. New York Times Albany bureau chief Danny Hakim and WNYC reporter Bob Hennelly report on the details.
Pointing Fingers in the Deutsche Bank Fire
In the wake of the blaze at the Deutsche Bank building, the firefighters union and Lower Manhattan residents are looking for answers. WNYC reporter Bob Hennelly reports on the latest developments.

Candidate for First Lady or VP?
Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of presidential hopeful John Edwards, gives the campaign take on the latest developments in Iraq, the CIA inspector general's calls for a George Tenet rebuke, and the ever-expanding primary campaign.
Summer "School"
Culture critic Kay Hymowitz says teens miss out when they bypass summer jobs in a recent essay in The Wall Street Journal. She’s a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing editor to their publication, City Journal. Her most recent book is Marriage and Caste in America: Separate and Unequal Families in a Post-Marital Age (Ivan R. Dee, 2006).
Waste and Recycling
Bill DeBlasio, Member of City Council (D-39th District-Park Slope, Kensington, Windsor Terrace, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Borough Park and Boerum Hill), wants to ban styrofoam lunch trays in public schools. And school teachers, students and custodians call in to talk about recycling in schools.
