It would be great to know Mr. Bush's precise definition of a "terrorist".
only 8 out of 18 benchmarks have been met. sounds like another F for Bush to me.
I wish soemone would ask what effors the Administration has met to remove those corrupt, damaging elements (as detailed by Bobby Ghosh earlier this week on Brian's show) from the current Iraqi government. How can there be any improvement if the government isn't functioning to protect it's own people's security?
I don't see why we have to be exposed to his lies here on your show too. If anyone wants to listen to his stupidities they can turn on CNN and you can discuss it tomorrow. I find it insulting to be forced to listen to his garbage. I'm not listening right now. I'll check CNN now and then just to see if he's still on and when he's finished I'll come back to your show.
The so-called "Commander in Chief" just reduced Congress, the key lawmaking body of the United States of America, to a Savings & Loan! If the job of Congress under "President" Bush is to "fund the troops," then what, pray, is the job of the U.S. Constitution?
Can anyone say toilet paper?
Will someone please assemble Articles of Impeachment? Reason? Total incompetence on domestic and foreign issues. In fact, add those members of Congress who didn't read the National Intelligence Estimate prior to authorizing the war.
I believe the president contradicted himself. He continually states that we should let the commanders make the decisions about running the war. Answering one of the correspondent’s questions about lake of troops at the start of the war, he seemed to blame Tommy Franks for not asking for them. Thinking of the historical term, what’s past is prologue, we trusted the commanders to make the right decisions in Vietnam.
Brian - Don't pollute your program with the liar Kristol. Don't let him lie to you that there was any connection whatsoever between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Kristol got us into this catastrophe. Don't give him air time. Far from being an expert, Kristol is a moron and a liar.
Why has this administration be so obsessed with Iraq? Why impose on Iraq our model of democracy and not some other Middle Eastern country?
How can George Bush talk about bi-partisonship in Iraq while he thumbs his nose at the congress when they ask for answers by claiming Executive Priviledge?
Is the Republican Party deaf, dumb and stupid by blindly following failed policy and ignoring the publics wishes for answers and an end to madness.
The rebellion within the party is only about their chances of re-election - not public policy. If it were about public policy we would not be in Iraq. It would end our gun-boat diplomacy
