The Mayor sounds like he thinks the only problem with the Lexington Avenue subway line is that one may have to stand, instead of sit. I would be happy to be able to get into a car and stand; my problem is that, when I travel, the train is so full many people are left on the platform. I have had to fight and fail to get on two trains, before finally squeezing onto the THIRD one. I believe this is the issue the MTA is raising and it's too bad the Mayor doesn't understand it.

Mayor Bloomberg says that the Natiional Parties don't really stand for anything---individuals do.

However there is one big difference. The Republicans stand for more privatization, while the Democrats support unions who are opposed to privatization. If we accept this characterization, Bloomberg is a Republican, no matter what he calls himself.
