I believe that one of the reasons most Americans want us out of Iraq is as follows:

Everyone has finally woken up to the fact that this administration made up the whole thing, and scared the country into getting behind their war. It is only a matter of time before the truth comes out about Cheney's behind closed doors energy meetings where, I believe, he promised the energy companies the full power of the US military and treasury in order to secure the 2nd largest oil reserves for them. Hence, the world's largest "US embassy." The problem is that no one has been punished, or even held accountable, for these profoundly criminal actions. Not Bush (the moron puppet), not Cheney (the evil architect), not Rice (the blatant liar), not Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, etc., etc. In fact, they are still in power, trying to convince the American people to continue to follow them.

If these clowns had been impeached and imprisoned, as they deserve, I think the public would be open to a real discussion of the options and risks of continued presernce in Iraq or withdrawal. With them still in power, nobody wants anything to do with anything they propose.

Hi! Would someone please send this article to William Kristol - in today's (MEMORIAL DAY) op ed in the NY Times - he claims we are winning the war! and we should also send this to the Democratic candidates - i would love to know how they are really going to get us out of this war and still help Iraq and find osama and the real terrorists! thanks!
