Dominicc's success in life speaks to his personal resiliency. It seems that having at least one adult in the life of a child who is truly there for that child does make alot of difference in that child's success. Dominic was lucky enough to have a supportive aunt and grandmother. Having been raised by a mentally ill parent who didn't have any significant adult in my life, it took many years for me to get my life inorder. Luckily that happened.

I thank Mr. Carter from the bottom of my heart for sharing his story. His story is extremely important for other adults to hear. Shedding the light in dark places is what we need more of in this world. When they recognize that someone so smart and successful has been able to begin the healing process, I believe this will give them strength. I am looking forward to reading this book. As a psychotherapist, I would like to commend Mr. Carter on the issues his life story has hopefully raised. Unfortunately, the subject of mental illness continues to be taboo in our society. I deeply admire Mr. Carter's honesty and incredible courage and wish him continued success.
