    The problem with the debates is not that the media hosts it, it is that it is made to be on TV. Everyone involved in the process, including the media, sing the praises of the internet, it is time they start to truely use it for something more than info web sites and fundraising. It would be great if we could have a round robin, one on one, lengthy debate season. This obviousy does not work for TV. BUT IT DOES WORK ON THE NET/POD CASTS.

    Hardcore primary voters would watch, but that is the only people that watch the current debates. Just like the current method, media, pundits, parties, interest groups, blogers, etc. will cut and past the small parts of these debates they choose to highlight, but they do that now. With that much material, the true winner, losers, lightweights, and real deals will be shown, no matter how the groups above try to spin or highlight.
