    Lake Effect

    Anthony Lake served as national security advisor to President Clinton. He'll discuss the role of the national security advisor in the post 9/11 era, and the latest news from Iran, Iraq and North Korea—-as well as his role as advisor to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Also: anthropologist Helen Fisher on the chemistry of romantic love, and the editor of the New York Times “Modern Love” column.

Anthony Lake , national security advisor under Bill Clinton, professor in the practice of diplomacy at Georgetown University, co-author with Christine Todd Whitman of More Than Humanitarianism: A Strategic U.S. Approach Toward Africa (Council on Foreign Relations Independent Task Force Report, 2006), comments on foreign policy issues and the role of the national security advisor after 9/11.

Daniel Jones has edited a collection of essays published in the New York Times Sunday Styles section called Modern Love: 50 True and Extraordinary Tales of Desire, Deceit, and Devotion (Three Rivers Press, 2007). He is joined by contributors Frank Pavin and Sandra Barron. Then, the latest on the science of love with Helen Fisher, research professor at Rutgers University and the author of Why We Love: The Nature and Chemistry of Romantic Love (Henry Holt, 2004).
