Last May, government forces fired on a crowd of protesters in the city of Andijan, in Uzbekistan, killing hundreds. Journalist Galima Bukharbaeva was there, and was later charged with crimes by the Uzbek government for reporting on the crisis. Now she’s taken refuge in the United States.
