    The Color of Disaster

    Hurricane Katrina exposed many failures in federal disaster management, but it also renewed the national conversation about race and poverty in America. In his new book, Michael Eric Dyson examines the deeper meaning of the disaster by putting the experiences of New Orleanians in context with prior black migrations.
