Since Mr. Liu is sensitive to the legal expenses incurred by needless city litigation, is he willing to criticize the money spent on the legal representation of Council President Quinn, and possibly himself, during the investigation of the City Council's embezzlement of city funds by allocating them to non-existent agencies?

At issue with the CP5 is not just wrongful imprisonment, but obvious gross negligence, and an unwillingness to admit it.

Raising the minimum wage is in reality anti-progressive. By keeping the minimum wage low, lower prices for goods and services benefit all citizens. The low wage worker is the subsidized by food stamps and other social programs, paid for by the upper earners that are actually paying taxes. If you raise the minimum wage, you can lower taxes for the higher earners, but prices will go up on everyone.

Sounds to me like the typical political pandering. He's all over the map on this stuff, no real plan on how to pay for things and making sure he dips his toe into every group he needs votes from.

What is the status of the investigation into Mr. Liu's campaign finance shenanigans?

Re free CUNY tuition -- why are the top 10% students in the City's Catholic schools not included? Their parents pay taxes too, and many are as underprivileged and as much in dire need for help with college tuition.

Free tuition for top students, translates into free tuition for Asian new yorkers.

Top 10%? Who's to say those are the ones that need help paying for CUNY? Why not a scholarship and a MENTORSHIP program for them? Just throwing money around isn't the ticket.

Mr. Liu and his proposed policies are the reason NYC voted republicans in for the last several elections. NY will sink back into the chaos of the 60s and 70s if he or any other democrat is elected.
