Frank Seddio speaking with party officials after being selected the new leader for Brooklyn Democrats.

Colin Campbell, political reporter for The Observer, talks about the selection of former Assemblyman and local judge Frank Seddio to be the new leader of the Brooklyn Democratic Party. Seddio was elected by the party's executive committee on Wednesday night, replacing long-time party boss Vito Lopez, who stepped aside amid multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

Brian, please don't say "Chasidics." "Chasidic" is an adjective, & calling someone a Chasidic is like calling him or her a Jewish. The noun is "Chasid," & the plural is "Chasidim."
Even through I vote Democratic, it's not healthy for an area to be so one sided. Here in nice corrupt Hudson County NJ, we rejoice when a mayor gets through a term without being indicted. They all have multiple government jobs, put their families on the payroll, and cost us all money. It's all about scratching each others backs in these local political scenes.
I also lived in Chicago, not exactly a brain of transparent politics. At least there the local Aldermen were responsive to constituents. Things got done. Here I might as flush my property tax dollars down the toilet.
Charlie Barron is a racist.
And whats the deal with the Nehru jacket?
Raul the caller, is typical of the brainwashing we humans go through.
Raul doesn't care about how corrupt and dysfunctional Lopez was, all he cares about, is making sure democrats stay in power, regardless of how incompetent they are.
John, we here in NYS and NYC, have been under the control of a rancid Brezhnev style democratic mob machine for decades: Schumer, Silver, Rangel - all who plan to die in office.
Nothing is going to change. You will just have to write a new name on those cash filled envelopes.
Charles Baron, a person whose politics I dont like but who I respect, had it right. The new leader is Vito Lopez under a new name. There has been no change. Why was Seddio allowed to keep his Law License after he lost his Judgeship??? Things that make you go HUMMMMMM
