It sounds to me like you just don't like having your bubble pricked aka are not comfortable with cognitive dissonance.

I thought Romney's joke about the media sums up my experience of this campaign.

"Obama embraced by Catholics, Romney dines with Rich People!"

Whether it's debate formats that blatantly give more time to Obama with moderators who interject and side with Obama (Candy Crowley)...

Or the NY Times / CNN/ Economist reporters that immediately blamed the Libya tragedy on some YouTube video made in Orange County, CA, that spurred spontaneous protests....

While hiding that it was a planned attack on September 11th against American diplomats and that there was such a lack of security at the consulate that a CNN reporter could walk into the building and pick up the Ambassador's personal diary.

Not only have the national liberal media outlets (CNN, NYTimes, NBC) compromised their standards to stump for Obama, but supposed "Public Radio" stations, like this one and NPR, which I thought were independent, fair and rational, have clearly bent the standards I admired.

I listened to this show religiously since 2004. I'm turning it off, along with my monthly pledge.

"Not a Fan" Romney meant well but the phrasing was awkward, albeit in a very subtle way.

If Romney had said that he had "binders" full of "Jews", "Blacks", or "Asians", he would have been in real trouble. It just gives the impression of a slave master or an SS officer at a death camp, going through his "binder" to see who lives and who dies. I'm not saying Romney is anyway close to that but it shows again, him being out of touch.

A few questions.

What is wrong with giving women flexible work hours so they can spend more time with their kids?

What is wrong with looking at a binder full of women's resumes for cabinet positions in a new administration?

Apparently, these are the are thethe two most important issues to focus on?

As usual, your program is missing out on the real issues and wasting time on irrelevant talking points straight from partisan political spin wizards.

I used to think you were capable of looking at issues in fair and sound manner. I don't think that is the case any longer. WNYC is not providing true journalism, it is providing commentary. It sounds like you are watching MSNBC the evening before you air and use it as a program guide.

The defense of marriage act was one of the most vile pieces of legislation ever written. It goes against everything liberals, moderates, and true conservatives believe in - let's hope the Supreme Court gets rid of it.

The binders "meme" ("meme" in and of itself is a worthless word) is so infantile and intellectually dishonest that I could put all ofthe people that have lined up behind it into binders full of idiots.

Romney was funny but towards the end, it almost felt like he was roasting Obama. I think he forgot the memo that speakers are supposed to mostly make fun of themselves.
