In all the GOP debates so far, the real "bad guy," in the eyes of everyone there, is the media. Never is an opportunity missed to insult "the elite media." So dumb. So, let's bite---Fox can moderate.

So far, all I've learned from Survivor GOP 2012 (aka the 20 GOP debates) is that the GOP base puts how they FEEL way above facts or honesty. In other words, nothing new. They claim to be anti-Keynesian or post-Keynesian but their economic thinking is more pre-Smith. They all engage in 'sic hoc ergo propter hoc' or more particularly, 'after Obama was elected, therefore because Obama was elected...' which any english teacher will tell you is a fallacy.

I know one thing...It is far more likely that we can spend our way back to prosperity than we can cut our way back to prosperity. A surplus - if we live long enough to achieve it again - shouldn't be squandered in the way the Bushies did. Let us all not be so greedy next time.

The only cure for having borrowed more than you can easily pay back is to grow the economy so that the borrowed amount doesn't seem that large any more...We did it after the Civil War, the Great Depression and the stagflastion of the late 70's. Can we do it again? Not without increased buying power in the middle tiers which means higher incomes for the middle and bottom. The rigged system of taxes and income distribution that we have now in place is what is blocking the recovery.

Ok, so why didn't Romney advocate for the major banks to into "bankruptcy"?

I'm sure this primary will season and strengthen Romney (who will likely win). But unlike the 2008 Democratic primary, which this Republican primary is often compared, Obama-Clinton did not have to contend with an incumbent lying in wait, as Romney (or another nominee) must face. Much more difficult for the Repubs as compared to Dems 4 years ago.
