True...duh,I dunno....but I thought I'd share a fraction of what I get from Tea Party friends and take your mind off Herman Cain.
And why suffer through Brian trying to be "bipartisan"?

Totally agree with Tom Phillips:
"Gee, Brian, I'm disappointed that your concept of 'covering' the Republican convention is to allow one Republican chucklehead after another to have unbridled (and largely unchallenged) access to your program. Isn't that what the convention itself is for? Why be part of that process?"

Brian, Brian, Brian, why are you wasting good air time with this guy? He only belongs on The Daily Show. He has no idea what he's talking about. Can't believe you booked this guy.

Why are we listening to these two people. Both have be discredited many many times. Really! Geez! Is this really just to be what you think is fair broadcasting. What were you thinking!!!!

Cutting taxes and building incredible debt. Makes 80 million americans crony capitalists. Populist but still wrong. Be responsible with revenues.
Oh yeah, and progressive taxation too.

First the NY State Republican leader,
then John Bolton
then Herman Cann
trot old the talking lies....

Herman Cann is so funny looney, but the thing is, he's looney but still selling the basic GOP polices. He takes the looney road but still gets to the party.
Just like Atkins took the looney road to his beliefs on Abortion, but still makes his way to the party, professing what is the GOP policy.

The looney are professing the GOP policy, they just looney about it.

Mr.Cain implies that blacks who are not conservative aren't thinking for themselves. Maybe it's about being against policy that is incongruous with minority interests.

First, Herman Caine? Seriously?? Why does the media keep interviewing this completely uninformed person???
Second, why do you not refer to the President as Obama and not the President? Disrespectful.

Uh...I...I just can't...This Cain is farcical. And, really, sad. American Black Conservatives don't exhibit the basic ABCs of common sense and self-preservation required of each organism to preserve the vital diversity of the ecosystem...

CURRENT JOKE IN MY EMAIL INBOX-

So the Romney's are selfish for keeping a horse?

* And employing a groomer with a family to support.

* And paying for feed that's sold by someone with a family to support.

* And transported in trucks by someone with a family to support.

* And manufactured in a factory by people with families to support.

* From stuff that's grown by farmers with families to support.

* And having a barn built by construction workers with families to support.

* With materials trucked by drivers with families to support.

* From factories with workers with families to support.

Sounds to me like that one horse belonging to the Romney's has done more to put Americans to work than that HORSE'S ASS that's in the White House.

Will Herman Cain help the 99%?

"Nein, nein, nein!!"

Aug. 27 2012 11:51 AM

I'm now less informed about Conservative policy than I was before listening to Mr. Bolton. My defenses are up when I hear these rapid-fire pundits who are so well trained in debate that they forget we are listening and are turned off.

Bolton is a dangerous person- he always speaks in a restrained manner, but his words are full of bellicose undercurrents. If this guy gets a cabinet position the military industrial complex will celebrate!

Look at youtube- "Scary: 50% Chance This Guy Will Decide U.S. Foreign Policy"

No, what's sophistry is to say that because Pres. Obama didn't get Guantanamo closed he didn't accomplish *anything*. Because of his directive, many of the prisoners' cases were cleared & the population there is much smaller than it was when his term began. Republican obstructionist tactics kept more from being done.

Re: Mr. Bolton (former UN ambassador who wants the UN abolished) Stuxnet broke the centrifuges, but he thinks it didn't set the Iranians back in production of high grade nuclear fuel (I think I heard Mr. Sanger talk about Stuznet on Brian Lehrer or the Takeaway). Why let them lie??

Obama has been drone bombing ad nauseum, doubled down on Afghanistan, and killed Bin Laden and most of al-Qaeda's top guys - what a failure.

Perhaps it's just stupid and dull. Perhaps those who ask again are bores. My opinion: we're too quick to label things racist that are simply "stupid". Isn't it enough to know those who keep knocking up against a wall are stupid?

Aug. 27 2012 11:39 AM

CK from Yorktown
The birth certificate has been produced.
It’s racist to continue to ask for something that you already have and pretend there is a questionable birth certificate out there.

Aug. 27 2012 11:34 AM
CK from Yorktown

Why is it racist to ask to prove a candidate was born in the US? You may say they're beating a dead horse but the idea that a candidate has to prove US birth is not racist. The first president that it was an issue for was Mr. Obama. Good for his diversity. However, he could have stemmed the issue earlier by providing the info earlier. I don't call it racist to ask. I think people are a little to quick to call things racist.

It's not so much that Mr. Romney says he can turn the economy around as that it's *all* he says about it. He says his policies will create jobs but nothing about why we should believe they will--no evidence. Apparently we're supposed to believe it's true just because he says so.

Call it like it is, Jake. It is not beneath Mitt Romney to throw in his racial tinged birther joke. Republicans have been doing this since Nixon.

Mr. Tapper is the most even, measured guest I've heard on NPR related to the election so far. Most are so far leaning to the pro-Obama side that there's not an open view or analysis. Good guest spot today.

Re: Birther continuing -- Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County Arizona sent a delegation to Hawaii just last month!!! Why am I paying for the continutation of this clearly racist nonsense. Can anyone check Mr. Obana's mother's passport records???

Aug. 27 2012 11:20 AM
fuva from harlemworld

Yes, unjustified cries of racism are counterproductive. No, the call to "Take Back America" may not be racially-coded. But, yes, birtherism and too much of Republican language this season are racial appeals. The Southern Strategy persists. In 2012, it's a damn shame, as is the failure of so much of the media to tell it like it is.

Jake Tapper is the only white house correspondent who asks the President legitimate and challenging questions, as opposed to the softballs lobbed by the chorus of liberal media sycophants.

PLEASE ASK JAKE THE FOLLOWING:

Why does the MSM, such as Scott Pelley, allege that when Romney alluded to the existence of his own birth certificate---which elicited laughter, that Romney was serious, particularly after Romney insisted it was an attempt at humor?

CONSIDER that Obama himself had joked publicly----in set speeches---about the controversy of his birth certificate numerous times.

CONSIDER that Romney's comment could have been construed as mocking the Birther allegations. Indeed, that was my first impression, given that Romney had declined to sign on to the movement, by the 30+ times he stated that he accepted obama's claimed birthplace.
