If you want to know whats wrong with this country just spent a few hours perusing a few political blogs.
What happened to the Golden Rule? It's a standard most people used to live by. It's amazing the insight bloggers have on a candidate they have never met, spoken too, and most likely have never really researched except through biased media. Can't you see you're being played for the sake of ratings?
Why does it have to be about drawing lines in the sand and then choosing what side of the line your on. Truth is, we all live on the same beach. I thought we were all Americans. The ability to embrace diversity, differing opinions, and to work towards the common good is part of what has made America an absolutely amazing nation.
But any more, it seems that if one does not immediately warm to a certain point of view... they are viciously attacked on a very personal level. Such action is well below the Golden Rule Standard. How about we all try concentrating on doing WHATS right, instead of fighting over whose Left or Right.

On air, it was asked what the choices would be for Republicans at the polls. I just returned and had four choices: Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum & Newt Gingrich.

Brian, I think maybe two of those calls were real Republicans. Too bad you didn't have anyone on who actually could describe the field. Instead you just mentioned Michelle Bachmann a few times. Such an embarrassing segment. Unlike the Dems, the Republican field is filled with interesting and accomplished people of diversity, all of whom would make better VPs than Joe "I'm Drunk Again" Biden. We have Congressman Allen West, a Black man who is a retired Lt. Col. in the Army. We have Governor Nikki Randhawa Haley of South Carolina, who was an accountant, a state legislator and is of East Indian heritage. We have Governor Susana Martinez, a former District Attorney and the first Hispanic woman to serve as a US state Governor. The Republicans also have Bobby Jindal, a former US Congressman and the first East Indian person to serve as a state Governor. He is the Governor of Louisiana. The list is much longer and also includes some boring middle aged white men who are, unlike Biden and his boss, incredibly competent. One of those people is Senator Rob Portman from Ohio, who from 1993 to 2005 served in the US House of Representatives, winning 7 consecutive congressional elections with over 70 percent of the vote. Portman also served in two federal cabinet positions under the administration of President George W. Bush as the US Trade Representative and as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Portman has ten 10x the experience that 0bama has a sitting President. The Republicans have greater diversity and experience only NPR & WNYC will never let you know about. What happened to the rumor/conspiracy theory that Romney will pick Rand Paul as his VP candidate, as a quid pro quo for father Ron Paul not attacking Romney in the debates and contested primaryies?

Bloomberg would be the prefect running mate for Rmoney. Rmoney flips on the issue depending how it suits his interests and Bloomberg flips on his party depending how it suits his interests. And they can share tips on the best Cadillac elevators too. Oh and yes I know I spelled Romney wrong. I thinkit's more appropriate.

Rubio is a non-starter. He lied about his parents fleeing Castro - they were already here when Castro took over Cuba. Hispanics don't like him, he's missed mortgage payments on his $500K home despite making $300K a year at his law firm. He's also used his republican credit card to buy groceries and fix his car, all illegal. Enough talk of Rubio already!

Sheldon: The working man will never revolt because his standard of living would immediately drop; he is ruled by his wallet. He will not revolt until the money is worthless.

Rubio, as a Cuban-American, is pratically tone deaf to the trials and tribulations of immigration. It's a myth that Latinos will automatically rally to a ticket with Rubio.

I 100% agree! He wants to strip the dream act of the DREAM and he is a Republican. It baffles me to this day how any minority can be a Republican, especially a Latino. Do you hear all the things they say about us?? I guess he thinks he's different. Better keep an eye out Rubio- they'll accuse you of being an "illegal" as soon as they get a chance.

I will show up and vote for Ron Paul. He's right on all the issues except the gold standard. I think Rubio would be the best vice Presidential choice, politically, since Romney is doing so poorly among the Spanish-speaking.

And Oscar: Things will have to get much, much worse before a revolt other than at the ballot box can occur. Citizens COULD ignore the advetising and the money and vote for someone other than an establishment candidate. They can blame themselves if they don't.

Chris Christy's comment about his desire not to be considered for VP made me laugh. He said how could anyone think of him as number 2. Actually every time I see or hear Christy I think of number 2! :)

We need someone who's conservative. Bloomberg is a Democrat in reality. I think the republican base is looking for a more conservative for the VP role

I learned more about this Rubio guy and as a Mexican American I do not want this guy to be the first Hispanic representing me. I have not idea what this other woman is talking about, specially if she is "into politics" as she said.

Isn't it interesting that Romney is celebrating his "win" in New Hampshire tonight where he's fighting for votes and there's talk of Kelly Ayotte as a running mate? He won't pick her , or Marco Rubio for that matter, but he's planning us dumb by thinking we'll think he's pro-womens' rights and pro-Hispanic by standing next to folks he'll never pick. Ever.

My pick: Chris Christie, which will show how small, both literally and figuratively, that Romney is.

I'd like to see Mike Bloomberg as the VP candidate - if we cannot re-elect him, which I would do in a heart beat - lets get a liberal New York republican in a position to get the party back to center.
