The answer is a living wage. THAT'S the answer. Most of the problem solved.
He hasn't noticed that information technology has gone overseas too? He's just asking high-tech women to compete with men for Indian jobs.
The idea of allowing childcare, teaching, health care jobs--which can't be moved overseas--to continue being underpaid, while encouraging women into jobs that do is a nonfunctional idea. It's fantastical (as in "fantasy") to *not* ask for these women's jobs to be paid living wages with improved (for men too) paid family leave circumstances.
Who the heck was this guy? I didn't hear any new ideas!
Government has been in the public housing debacle; it's called the Projects, places that are not safe, run efficiently or even good-looking.

Yes, getting more women to compete with men in the workforce is a great help to families.! It's really helped a lot over the last 40 years! And now we need more child care workers to take care of the few children left behind! Great ideas,. Brilliant!
For clarity purposes: Is "working families" the new term for "working class?"
