New Poll: 'Trouble for the West' as Egyptians On Pace to Elect Muslim Brotherhood

Remember Amr Moussa? He's the Egyptian presidential candidate - who is also a part of the Muslim Brotherhood - who said in May that Hamas - the terror group - is not a terror group<http://www.theblaze.com/stories/egyptian-prez-candidate-hamas-not-really-a-terror-group/>. Now, a new Newsweek/Daily Beast poll<http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/07/26/egypt-political-poll-muslim-brotherhood-influence-troubles-for-west.html?om_rid=Nsfm59&om_mid=_BOMGO2B8chCZ6g> finds that he's the likely winner in Egypt's upcoming election, and his party is likely to gain power. And according to Newsweek, that's bad news for Israel and America.

"The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's largest Islamist group, is poised to win the largest share of the vote in parliamentary elections," the Daily Beast writes, "the man who appears to have a clear shot at the presidency, Amr Moussa, has made his name criticizing Israel; and a large majority of respondents favor amending or revoking the cornerstone of regional stability, the Camp David Accords."

I'm a lot more worried than before Ms. Wright informed us about this anti jihad, because it seems not to be against jihad!

It is most cynical to be opposed to both the West culture and Jihad-shariah. I'm trying to imagine Germans durring WWII who were anti allies and anti fascist.

The moral equivalence of placing both belief systems on the same plane, and not taking a side in this war, makes me worried about this younger generation of muslims.

And look at the Brotherhood in Egypt. They're getting everything they want so far. Where is the "anti jihad" there?

I hope that Ms. Wright's book is on artistic protest against fundamentalism in the Middle East (an interesting topic) and not in the US. The LA comedian's comments are really irrelevant. He lives in the US--he can poke fun of Jihad all he wants in his stand up in the US. It's funny but nothing too brave about that.

Maysoon Zayid is a great female Arab comedian

Maz Jobrani is an occasional guest on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and he's quite funny.

I didn't hear any women's names in the list of comedians. I hope there are some--oh, I did just hear the part about women & men performing together, but I missed what type of performance--was it rap?

Oh, Robin Wright should not quit her day job to try standup instead!

Oh, so the "anti-jihad" Iranian comedian lives in Los Angeles? Well, what do you expect? He's been around Hollywood Jews so long.
