Okay, so where's this affordable housing? There is no evidence that Bloomberg cares about anything or anybody but the real estate industry. People are paying 50% or more of their incomes on housing. This is shocking. As shocking as the rate of deregulation of so-called regulated apartments. It's the biggest problem facing the majority of people in the New York area and I don't see what's being done about it. Steel had nothing to say.

"Measure" Steel says, as does every Bloombergian and Gatesian educator.
Brian, educating children isn't primarily about measuring. It's about teaching. You have to teach first, then measure.
Parents have been mentioning this often on your show but you haven't picked up on it.
Start calling educators on this.
"Measure what?" ask them.
The NYS budget still doesn't cover 4 years of science for every child.
And the almighty tests, which is the ONLY thing that matters in NYC public schools, don't test for science. Teachers don't get rewarded if kids are great at science.
TEACH first, then measure.
