It's ashame that the Brian Lehrer show would lower the bar by putting Benjamin Barber on the air. This man has ZERO CREDIBILITY when it comes to discussing Qaddafi and his sons. Barber has exposed himself as a dupe who was conned by the Qaddafi family.
Benjamin Barber has some fancy things to say about the "common citizenship" we share in the US, but is that accurate? It seems to me it's consumer culture that we have in common more so than citizenship.
How good a student was Saif when he was at The London School of Economics?

I think people generally get that democracy doesn't happen overnight. What's a "democracy consultant" anyway?
Am I to understand that Mr. Barber did not know the Gaddafi history on the world stage when he began to work for the “Libyan Democracy” project under Saif al-Islam Gaddafi? Am I to believe the Lockerbie bombing, which happened in Dec. 1988, was unknown to him? How much money did he make off that deal?
Any comment on Raw Story headline about nuclear experts warning of potential that dirty bomb material getting loose in Libya?
Any comment about why there are no women, children, and old people on the streets?
Mr Barber was writing puff pieces on the artistic talents and humane side of Saif-al Islam Ghaddafi earlier this year.
He was paid large sums by the Monitor Group to assist with PR for the regime.
why do you invite people like this as 'experts'??
why not get Saif-al Islam himself?
