Los Angeles Times Beirut Bureau Chief Borzou Daragahi reports on the latest developments in Syria, including the recall of the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Yes, Mr. Daragahi, Syrians have indeed lost their lives and more are risking it now.
As with Iran, Obama has not demanded that the regime step down. That is the minimal moral support one can expect from the US.
Yet Obama is silent on that. Hilary even called Basir a "reformer." Christian Amonpour on ABC Sunday even called him a "Self-styled reformer"!! (She's married to Pres Clinton's deputy state dept official Jaime Rubin).
What the hell is wrong with this administration?! Maybe Obama is indeed secretly a Muslim? (mainstream islam is built on sharia---which is a totalitarian form of governance).
Isn't another link between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain the fact that both are monarchies? SA seems to be a protector of monarchies as well as Sunni orthodoxy. Syria is not a monarchy and SA may see it as less legitimate.
Obama took the lead in demanding khadafy and Mubarak resign from office. They were our allies against jihad.
Yet Obama has been too quiet about the repression in Iran and now Syria, OUR ENEMIES IN THE WAR AGAINST JIHAD.
