If I remember correctly, David Paterson didn't get much better treatment from Wayne Barrett himself, particularly on WNYC.
And that's coming from a fan of Mr. Barrett's work (usually).
There certainly is an entry for Hugh Carey in the Encyclopedia of New York City (2nd ed.), Wayne Barrett.
From which I discover he was born one year to the day after my mother.
Mr. Barrett is evidently looking at an outdated edition of the Encyclopedia of New York History. The second edition, published in 2010, has a substantial entry on Hugh Carey on page 203.
"He was a liberal and a democrat, I think we can be proud to say that."
One of so many comments during this segment and so many others that Jami Floyd has hosted that are appallingly biased. Oh, right, you're Jami Floyd - I don't have to take you seriously.
