How can someone who claims to be a "Libertarian" want to outlaw abortion? Shouldn't you have the liberty to do what you want to your own body? What will she outlaw next, tattoos?
@Martin ChuzzlewitObama's opponents need to realize that many candidates are saying what they have to say to get elected. We've seen that incumbents that oppose Obama and his economic plans are very willing to take credit for the benefits their community reaps from the federal money. What makes you think any new candidates will be willing to make any sacrifices? The Republicans wanted to cut taxes while we're involved in two wars! Was that going in the right direction? Candidates talk a lot but I haven't heard anything that should let us believe they'll deliver.
i don't get these pundits saying that people like o'donnel and palin "did well" or "held their own" during these debates. i've heard so many of these guys saying things like this and it really makes me scratch my head...were they watching the same debate i watched? are you kidding me? these people are complete morons and just spew these talking points that they've managed to memorize and are completely ignorant about any issues at all times. empty heads and journalists can't keep letting this stuff fly. please challenge these pundits when they say things like this.
What's wrong with Harry Reid? Repeatedly calling someone "extreme" without pointing out her wacky views will not convince anyone not to vote for her. On the contrary, angry voters seem to want "extreme" solutions. He really needed to hammer her on her unpopular views - abolish the department of education, privitize social security, end legalized abortion even in cases of incest or rape, etc.
As an African-American, I agree with Jerry Brown that what he called Ms. Whitman was much less offensive than the "N" word. The word he used can refer to ANY woman, but the N word tagets just one specific ethnic group.
Yesterday British Prime Minister David Cameron announced the elimination of 192 (!) government agencies that will eventually result in the loss of 600,000 public sector jobs in a country one quarter our size. They have been where "hope and change" Obama is now belatedly taking us. We are going in exactly the wrong direction at exactly the wrong time.
That is what this election is about.
