It might be the same as sugar, but the flavor is very different. One of the great things about coming to this country was that it made it very easy to kick off my Coca Cola habit. In other countries is made with sugar, and it tastes different. Coca cola tastes awful here and I think it´s because of the corn syrup.The same applies to other drinks.
How about - "Socialized Corn Sugar"
Call it whatever you like. It is corn sugar, so why not call it that? It's no worse or better than any other refined sugar. In moderation, it's fine. The problem is that too much is used to make otherwise unpalatable foods more tasty. The answer of course, is to not eat too much of the foods containing too much of the product.
