Hats of to John Eustice for a great race. The omnium format, in my opinion, keep the race moving, very exciting. I think this format will appeal to Americans. Seeing track evens on the road was way cool. David (Speedy ) Emanuel Organizer of the five time Great Neck L.I. N.Y,. Great Neck International Bicycle Race
The Harlem Race...37 years ..wow
Stephen Arbetman was 3rd in 1973 behind Bobby Phillips & Patrick Gellineau
Cool! Thanks for covering this. My friends and I are huge cycling fans, and hope road racing gets more PR! There are 3 pro teams in the US now, and cycling is so much more than the TDF and Lance Armstrong.
37 years ago was the year of the oil shortage. The interest on biking was not about kids getting fat as your guest said. It was about getting off fossil fuels.
