US Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra and Beth Noveck, head of the White House Open Government Initiative discuss the efforts - and the pitfalls - when it comes to making government more transparent.

Seems that the Administration is moving in the right direction. Mr. Chopra ducked your question about how they measure success because right now they're not measuring success or other outsomes only how many agencies are complying with the Directive. Next step is to measure citizen satisfaction as a success measure with the sites that they're putting up and the.
Nice first step. I would like to see the Administration go further by offering citizens the ability to rate the effectiveness and value of the Data.gov and USASpending.gov websites. That could provide a true measure of "success."
Transparency is transparency....satisfied with it or now, thanks to the Obama Administration it is there for you to see.
What are you doing to publicize the existence of all this new data?

According to the page, this was an expense from 2005. It was the only finding. This seems hardly useful. I don't think I've gained anything from the release of this info. It feels like a gesture of transparency but not actual transparency.

90% of all funds = 1.2 million for "Other Management Support Services" to STG International. Whatever that means...
