In response to a new name request to replace the conventional "undocumented" or 'illegeal" immegrants, may I suggest a word from our own recent history modified to your spec that it should be applicable to the rest of the world as well, a new phrase "geo-pilgrims"?
Does it need justification or elaboration?

In response to the idea that illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from Americans, I would like to point out that every morning I see a group of Latino men waiting on the corner on Church and McDonald Avenues, in every kind of weather, waiting to be picked up so they can work to support themselves and their families. I doubt there are many legal Americans who would be willing to do that.

why is it so difficult to understand that we just have to seal our border. really seal it. then deal with all that are here already. more mexicans in this country is a good thing, believe me.
but the fact that people have to have proof of identification on them is not a racist idea. and reasonable doubt has always been dubious for all police stops. if you're here illegally, then it's a crime. if we were in mexico without papers then the same thing would happen or worse.

It's important to remember that not all "illegal" immigrants are illegal by choice. Some documented immigrants lose their papers through no fault of their own, due to dishonest immigration lawyers or bureaucratic mistakes. Those individuals who have come here legally, worked and paid income taxes for many years are still offered no protection under the law. This is exactly why we need to pass CIRS now! To allow all immigrants a path to legalization. Doing so in keeping with the values of our nation.

Like in Europe, the scapegoat of CAPITALISM'S crisis is RACISM.

To hide and divert attention of our 'economic success', we just shift the public's concern to issues like these. Of course backing it up with the usual domesticated global media.

The media's constant attempt to sell this (including you Brian) to the majority of Americans has been a complete failure. It is only causing more and more people to rally against illegal immigration. The message is not selling and is causing a move in the opposite direction by the populace at large.

mirriam-webster defines alien as: "relating, belonging, or owing allegiance to another country or government."

hence, to call someone from another country who comes here without going through normal citizenship or temporary resident processes an "illegal alien" is not using politically loaded language. it's a precise description of who they are and what they're doing.

I suspect persons "manning" the border are corrupt as well, such is the way in America and most especially in Texas.

They are native of whatever country they are coming from. IE Italians, Scots, Jews, Polish get it?

Immigration, even illegal immigration, is good for our country. It's good economically, it's good for our culture.

If there wasn't a demand for it, they wouldn't be coming.
