Brian, wouldn't the ultimate out-of-your-comfort zone POV be an opinionated, verbally abusive Point/Counterpoint-type radio or TV personality?

It really makes me irritated when women writers participate in labeling their work "chick lit." How many novels featuring male characters have we all read, even if they have more male plots - like Hemingway - and those novels can just be accepted as novels, whether they be serious or entertainment - whereas women have to call their books featuring women "chick lit"?!

Can't we stop perpetuating this sort of pigeonholing?
