my experience with "libs" is they can easily forgive someone who admits to their mistakes. they are by far less judgmental or condemning then some people i know...

HJS - do you mean Bush was still in power in April 2009 when the swine flu hit that HS in Queens? WOW!!! Have you told the Bama or the ass Bama ass-licking liberal media about this? Is the Bama merely a tool of the all powerful Cheney, Rove, Bush, Halliburton team? LOFL.

Perhaps you should tell Van Jones that the Capitalists were still in power while the "environmental ‘justice’ and the social ‘justice’ communities" a/k/a Barack's controlled cabal of committed Commies thought that they took power in the next stage of their struggle to destroy America.

Stay healthy my friend. As President Barry will tell the school kids: "wash your hands and avoid people who are coughing or sneezing."

PS - Is this the best that "brightest man ever to be President can do? LOL - shades of "duct tape and plastic sheets on windows."

In your discussion this morning on swine-flu preparedness, you mentioned mass vaccinations in public schools that will be offered, and wondered if that had ever been done before. Your guest said, yes, it had, but when you questioned whether it was for polio, he said no.

In the early 50's, I took part in such a mass vaccination in my school,in Morristown,NJ, during the polio epidemic. The entire public elementary school received the Salk Polio Vaccine. We later received cards designating us "polio pioneers".(I still have mine!) Unfortunately, my brother already had contracted the disease, but did recover very well.

I love your program. Thanks!

are u suggesting the swine flu is a to a plot by the mexicans to take over this country?
was bush admin part of this, they were in power during the first wave of the swine flu?
during the emergency powers will death panels cut the white population by half? or maybe 75%, assuming they need some whites to help run the country??

What efforts are being made to insure people get not only the H1N1 vaccine, but the seasonal flu vaccine since seasonal flu typically results in more deaths than H1N1 has so far? What if the seasonal flu is more virulent than H1N1 and fewer people are immune due to lack of attention to seasonal flu prevention? Is it possible to have a combined H1N1-seasonal flu vaccine to reduce the need for multiple vaccines?

Weren’t flu deaths over the summer about the same as always? I hope the phony swine flu “epidemic” doesn’t lead to the federal government trying to invoke some sort of illegal emergency powers to forward its misguided agenda to impose national health insurance on a public that doesn't want or need it. It’s ironic that the federal government did nothing to close the border when Mexico was a clear source of flu infestation. It just goes to show you how much this admin really cares. They seem to care more for creating and maintaining crisis more then resolving them. It is thus with all emerging dictatorships.

At least one noted health journal created a regression model with attributes for an annual average of 41,400 (95 percent confidence interval: 27,100, 55,700) deaths due to influenza over the period 1979–2001. [See - American Journal of Epidemiology Advance Access originally published online on November 30, 2005 American Journal of Epidemiology 2006 163(2):181-187; doi:10.1093/aje/kwj024 American Journal of Epidemiology Copyright © 2005 by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health All rights reserved; printed in U.S.A.]

My personal conclusion: given the large increase of population, especially the addition of millions of poor illegal aliens, a death total 50 - 100% larger then the average would not be unexpected in mildly bad flu season. Perhaps Obama’s close personal advisor, the Commie Green Tsar Van Jones can use this as part of his struggle to destroy the Republic and Capitalism.

So, if my wife & I are about to have a child in the next week, does that mean that both of us (as parents) should get the vaccination because of our constant contact with a baby under 6 months?

Funny. 4-5 weeks ago I made a slightly paranoid comment about a new or past "epidemic"(currently H1N1) and how it would suddenly be pushed to take presidance over ant other IMPORTANT media stories, such as the Health Care plan proposals: Maybe to prepare the public for the current administration to back out or divert from all talks of the Sinfle Payer Plan...

Hi Brian
My 8 yo daughter and I got H1N1 this summer. We put my 5 yo on Tamflu and she didn't come down with it. Is it safe to assume she is immune or should I vaccinate her? Is it possible to overexpose her to it by vaccinating her?

My husband is also a health care provider who didn't come down with it and got tamiflu, should he be vaccinated?

thank you.

Are the any provisions for vaccinating public workers? I'm an international flight attendant, the possibilities for contracting and spreading the swine flu are a serious consideration.

Brian,

please address the issue of the UNINSURED..

what are the options for the uninsured in terms of treatment, should they get sick, or access to the vaccine, should they decide to get vaccinated? and what will be the COST of the vaccine, for the uninsured?? NOBODY in the media is addressing the issue of the uninsured here..
