Hi Brian - I wanted to call during this segment, but I was driving back from a Coney Island drop off (a good fare from 5th Ave and 50th street), then I was heading to Flatbush Ave and got lucky with a Brooklyn pick-up. The streets are peppered with tourists, artists, and workers. I think all of the guys (a-hem) that called in gave a decent slice of reality. (And it is always so subjective and opionated from the cab driver's perspective). But, I think it's getting busier and ever since the banks failed last Sept. it's been okay. I think New Yorkers are always going to be late for a train or plane and will need a quick lift, or will always forget something and need another - tourists or NY locals who embrace the museum life, will always need to cross town and will hail a cab. I've been saying to many of my passengers: if we can survive and recover after September 11th, 2001, we can definately recover from a little capitalist cavity.
