Dear Brian:

Thanks for your kind offer to post my personal music video.

I am an accomplished Cellist and GuZheng musician.
I can also compose music and I am available for concerts, recitals and performances.

Brian, I was so delighted to hear you pronounce J.K. Rowling's name correctly (to rhyme with bowling, rolling, etc.). And then you incorrectly corrected yourself! I've heard her speak on more than one occasion and I can assure you that her name does not rhyme with howling!

Speaking of companies not shutting down. I have home insurance with Allstate. This December the annual cost went up over $200/yr.
I called and the company said it was an increase across the board.
Can you imagine every client paying $200/yr. more for Homeowner's insurance?
THAT MAY BE ONE REASON WHY THEY HAVE NOT FAILED.
so when I hear these comments about some companies that are surviving, I see why!

When you're out of work, spend a few hours a day looking for a job, but arrange to do some volunteer work. That way, you remain social, give back to the community, and don't drive yourself crazy by looking for jobs 8 hours a day.

I work in a homeless healthcare clinic in Denver, although we've slowed our hiring due to economic threats (non-profit means public/private funding) we continue to be busier than ever. So, with the economic downturn perhaps homeless care is a growing field.

Two places where there are still jobs I see and hear about:

- Infotech people (your guest just mentioned IT) -- people with modern coding and IT skills.

- Sales. Anyone who can close sales in this environment can make a living. Companies are looking for good sales people.
