this seems like a critically important and vital follow-up to this past week's PBS Frontline "Inside the Meltdown". I hope this kind of insight reaches our President who does seem to be more knowledgable on matters of health care and education than on banking. I don't understand Gethner's point of view yet, however.
Why not use the money to actually purchase a new car for everyone. That would be a NICE way to help the car companies, help all of us who have put off getting a new car, relieve the storage problems of keeping the news cars clean, waiting for buyers, etc,etc...
