Worried about seeing you family tomorrow? You are not alone. Emily Yoffe, Slate.com contributor explains why your siblings have the unparalleled ability to drive you crazy.
Wow, this is a very timely topic for me. Quite recently I had an ugly fight with my brother, which has never happened before. He said things that hurt me deeply, as did I to him. As kids we were like Holden Caulfield and Phoebe; I was his staunchest fan. I wonder how to let go of the anger and hurt so that our relationship doesn't become estranged due to this event. I keep thinking about that movie, "The Straight Story," and don't want to end up like those two sad siblings. We are both in our fifties now.

To the twin resentful of his sister's wishing to belong.
OH, LIGHTEN UP. Give her just a scrap of what you and your twin have. Of course she feels left out. Plus, what she was as a child is not necessarily what she is as an adult.
I'm in a very similar situation with my sister.
We all have a need for family. You have inestimable riches. It's unbecoming of you to begrudge her a few scraps. Have a little grace.
