This weekend at the 3rd Annual Yo-Yo Open, Tom Kuhn, "founder of the modern yo-yo," will be honored for his achievements. He reflects on a life of spin and string. Pat Cuartero is the organizer of this weekend's Open, and a yo-yo champion.

I think if you're going to talk about the history of the yo-yo, it should be mentioned that the inventor of the yo-yo was a Filipino man and that yo-yo is Tagalog for "come, come." Let's give props to the original inventor as well as the people who modernized it.
