In the first half of 2008, the world’s stock markets collectively declined 11.8% in terms of index gain in US dollars. However, African stock exchanges (excluding South Africa) gained 11.0%.
But no one knows this for essentially the same reason many voters can't bring themselves to vote for Obama. Too "exotic", too "risky"
