Don't do it!!! I made that mistake three yrs ago, I went back to my country only to find out that New York is my home! After living in America for 24 years, you become an American, and it is impossible to adapt back to your original culture...It will be a huge cultural shock!
I'm American but my wife it Czech. We plan to move to Prague in 2 years mainly because we want to bring up our 2 children and less commercialized society. We are also worried about long term issues like the environmental and the financial situation here.

every time i go to europe i think these people have it so much better than we do. makes me sad to come home.
