The problem with Sarah Palin is not that she is ignorant, she will pick up whatever minimal knowledge a candidate needs in the future. The problem is that she is a mirage and a liar. She is not an energy expert. She was for the bridge to no where before she was against it. She hired unqualified cronies to run the Alaska government She supported a group that wanted to seperate from the union and a wierd church as well. She lied about the clothing. etc. etc. and so forth. I think the people are on to her and I hope that she runs in 2012 and again in 2016, and again in 2020, and 2024.....

i want to hear what will happen now with sarah palin. will she just fade away as the GOP tries to retool into Goldwater conservatism, or will she become the face and tool of the greed-trust and the hoodwinked base? your guest is far too polite to comment, but maybe you could do another show just on this.

That's what I love about these people. They attack the source. Not the fact she DIDN’T know something a third grader knows.
Good luck GOP. :)

Good one Brian! I suspected that the more outrageous claims about Palin's cluelessness were exaggerated by bitter McCain operatives and Fox News, in an attempt to re-position themselves as champions of the corporate quasi-libertarian wing of the GOP (rather than Palin's Christian wing).
But wow, he sure ducked the Palin question, then ducked it again. Very interesting.

so he sidestepped the palin question just like everyone else by repeating that it is too impolite to ask directly if palin is really as ignorant as the "leaker" said. (Funny, didn't hear that argument for the 2 yrs Valerie P hung out to dry .
may palin remain on her iceberg, where she was elected.

The crisis, as smart money has well known, was the creation of the massive bubble created by lending deregulation.
This moment is interesting mainly b/c we have discovered what it takes for the media, our officials and the public to "discover" a crisis.

Palin being the future of anything is an embarrassment.
She's uneducated. Doesn't know Africa is a continent Doesn't know what newspapers she reads Doesn't know what countries are in NAFTA
This person should just disappear.

Sarah Palin is the future of the GOP. She has the support of 64% of Republicans and 0% of independents and Democrats. The GOP has about 30% of the electorate. If the GOP sticks with Palin they can lock themselves into 20% of the electorate and permanent minority status. Just where the country needs them.
