As a US and NYC citizen, a person of color and a full-time taxpayer I am completely disgusted at the behavior of the NYC Police Dept ( I know that there are only a very small set of bad apples)and the NYPD leadership including Mayor Bloomberg.
I'm disturbed by Bloomberg and the commissioners' reluctance to institute ANY reforms during the 7 years they have been in power when they took over from the aggressive policies and politicization of the NYPD by Guiliani. There should be common sense reforms to institute professionalism and weed out bad apples from the department in order to protect civilians, Taxpayers AND police officers themselves. These incidents continue to increase distrust and animosity against police officers and continue to endanger innocent civilians.

Some people are very sick and get joy out of hurting other people. It is sadistic. Fine if everyone is consenting but obviously not the case here.
This is a violation of civil rights, right to be free in person of search and seizure and violation of police procedure.

If these allegations are true, it simply boggles the mind how callous and how STUPID some police officers are.

What county did this take place in?
Brooklyn?
Is it possible this is a hate crime by white police officers on a black man?
They did have probably cause to stop him but not to tackle him and assault.
We are definitely going to need a grand jury for this one!
