I will NOT be having Thanksgiving dinner with them!

My family thankfully were all on the same side, now life with my co-workers...totally different story!

lucky for me this year my family was sensible

i expressed my joy at the election to my sister, and she began sobbing, saying that they cheered for hitler when he was elected, and then made a passionate plea about stopping abortion.

I sent out a nice email letting my Repub friends and family know that despite partisan politics, Harlem was the most electric, fantastic place in the world on election night. I am proud to be a Democrat and I fight them head on! However, I will not be going home to Montana to bicker with them at the dinner table. :)

I'm planning on making a Shabbat peace offering to my McCain supporting Israeli family and point out that Obama picked Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff. I'm hoping that will finally convince them Obama will be a friend to Israel.

My friends and neighbors seem to be reconciled to the results (although most of us were on the "winning side") but what I find truly disturbing is the steady stream of vitriol coming out of conservative talk radio. They are not just venting frustration, they are implying Obama is a "dark" entity, "not to be trusted" "not what he appears" and, essentially, anti-American. This isn't just anger, it's something much worse. It's ugly and subversive and very upsetting.

I do not want to not want to give the automotive industry a carte blanche but I do want to create jobs. let's give to the industry but with the stipulation that a new job be given for a set amount of money to the industry eg $1million for every job of $75,000job.

This is NOT a time for reconciliation.

This is NOT a time for compromise

this is a time for the Democrats to RAM down the throat of the Republicans all the legislation they want.

It's time to undo the devastation the Republicans have caused and 4 years are not enough.

However OBAMA and the democrats won't do this because they are a bunch of thumb sucking wimps.

I've been extra nice to my McCain/Palin neighbors, who have incidentally been sick for a week. For the first time brought them over some soup! And, we secretly ordered them a subscription to The Week, an attempt to adulterate their Fox feed. I guess they are becoming a little project.
