He was the golf pro at the Shady Rest Golf Course in Scotch Plains from 1924 until his retirement in 1960. Shady Rest is now the Scotch Hills Country Club.

I was at the induction ceremony which was absolutely wonderful! All those luminaries who received the award (except for Bill Bradley and Meryl Streep) actually showed up to receive it personally-that says a lot. Best part of the evening--Bruce Springsteen's speech about growing up in NJ and his "Benediction." Does anyone knonw where I could get a copy of these??? Thanks, Michele from NJ
