If the purpose is to deter drivers from bringing in a car why does anyone get part of the fee back for tolls paid? Isn't this just a sneaky way to put tolls on the east river bridges?

Why has there been no discussion of a graduated, progressive toll based on the size and pollution made by each vehicle entering the zone? Brian--isn't this worth talking about? Larry ordine

thursday's discussion on the disabled & congestion pricing, spoke to the handicapped permits currently in existence not requiring medical substantiation. Not true. Having tetraplegia, I applied more than a decade ago & had to fill out a form supplying a physician's signed diagnosis & prognosis as to duration of disability. It was stated the form was a one time request to be kept on file by the dot.

As a supporter of congestion pricing, was so shocked by the unsigned opposition robo-call I got yesterday that I forgot to save it. Hope you get to bottom of who's sponsoring/paying for it. One good thing is that it reminded me to write councilmembers in support, especially those who are contemplating citywide office. But once again the real deal breaker could be Sheldon Silver, not the Council.
