Malcolm Smith, New York State Senator (D-Queens) and Senate Minority Leader, looks ahead to the Paterson administration and the shift in Albany following Governor Spitzer's resignation.
He sounds like too high a quality guy to have come to the governor's office by normal means (insufficient slime) and so we are all blessed, is what I am thinking.

It will be VERY tough for the new Governor and I have faith in his ability to take on these very complicated matters of state. But he needs support from all of us. I wish him and us well.

So now we the people bail out the rich.
Will the billionaires responsible for the economic disaster pay _any_ price? Will their bonuses go down? Will they see any cut in pay? Any seizures of the property they acquired at our expense?
