Anthony Mancuso, manager of information security at Maimonides Hospital, talks about a recent birth in the hospital -- a birth that was viewed live by the father from Iraq, where he is stationed as an American soldier. Freedom Call Foundation's Kathryn Hudacek chimes in to explain the program.

@Ed: The best type of humor makes one laugh and has a dark side, and your posting was very humorous!
Interesting article. I am amazed that serving military have to pay for calls home etc. When I travel, my employer covers a reasonable amount of communication with home, and it would seem fair that the military would provide the same.
Excellent segment, but it mostly makes me sad that a country can be so technologically advanced and still send humans off to the other side of the world to kill humans.
funny prisoners and soldiers both have to pay a lot to keep there families "together". thanks GOP profiteers
Maybe the President could order AT&T to charge less. I hear they'll gladly comply with his orders.
Why not just send the soldier home??? Emotional? yes, Gross? yes. Been there, done that, got sticthes.
I watched a live birth in a movie I bought yesterday called "Romance". I don't know how the doctors do it and I never want to see that again. If they do, more power to them.
That's wonderful he could see the birth even though he couldn't be there.
